In the Zillertal, a young snowboarder (29) from Germany died in an accident on the slopes.
The winter vacationer collided with a snow groomer.
Finkenberg – A 29-year-old snowboarder collided with a snow groomer while skiing down the slope in the Zillertal on the Hornberg near Schwendau (Austria) and was fatally injured.
The woman was traveling with her partner on the red slope in the Penken ski area in the direction of Lärchwaldhütte when the fatal collision occurred, the Austrian police said on Wednesday evening.

At the same time, the snow cat was uphill on the route.
According to the police, the cause of the collision was still unclear at 2,002 meters.
However, the 29-year-old from Bielefeld got partially under the snow groomer and seriously injured her head.
The snowboarder died of her injuries at the scene of the accident.
A 61-year-old Austrian drove the snow groomer.
The fatal collision occurred on Wednesday (December 7) at around 2:45 p.m. in the upper area of runway 11 (Gerent).
Investigations should now clarify how the accident could have happened.
Snow cats or snow cats are heavy equipment.
Skiers from the Munich area put their lives in danger at the beginning of 2022.
Three men were out and about on a closed runway in Garmisch during the night.
