The Assistant Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Muhammad Firas Nabhan, explained that one of the reasons for issuing the decision to accept requests for joining the service, refunding the compensation, and raising the percentage is the demobilization of a new batch of Syrian Arab Army members who benefit from the extension period, and at the request of the representatives of the General Federation of Trade Unions.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Nabhan indicated that 32,870 decisions were issued to include a service, receive compensation, and raise a percentage during the past year, indicating that the insured who are on the job can combine their previous services performed with public agencies that are not covered by the Social Insurance Law and services previously subscribed to with the public institution. For insurance and pensions, he did not deserve a retirement pension, and compulsory and reserve military services.
Nabhan added: The decision permitted the inclusion of services performed with drip schedules and day shifts prior to 1-2-2015 and seasonal contracts as of 1-1-2013, pointing out that the insured may apply to raise the percentage of the old-age pension account for the period of their services performed before the start of the employer’s subscription. Work in all types of insurance and pay 21 percent for each month of the monthly wage at the start of subscription in all types of insurance.
According to Nabhan, the decision included the Syrian workers outside the country participating in accordance with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 22 of 2015, and those assigned to religious work, indicating that the amounts due can be paid in installments over the same period of time for the service required to be included, taking into account the circumstances of the insured.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor issued a decision yesterday to accept requests to add the previous service with the government to the periods of service calculated in the pension, raise the percentage and return the one-payment compensation, starting from 1-2-2023 until 12-31-2023.
