Fodder Corporation in Suwayda: More than 10,000 tons of bran sales

Wael Al-Najm, director of the General Feed Corporation branch in As-Suwayda, said that sales of bran for sheep, goats, horses and camels have exceeded 10,000 tons since the beginning of this year.

Al-Najm indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the quantities sold were distributed among the Foundation’s branch centers in Shahba, Al-Mushnaf, Nabe’ Ira, and Salkhad, based on the approved statistical tables for the numbers of livestock, and at a subsidized price of 800 pounds per kilo, which is clearly lower than the price in the private sector.

Al-Najm pointed to the availability of good quantities of bran material in the branch's warehouses according to its storage space, especially with the surplus of it being extracted from the Damascus Mills, in addition to the As-Suwayda Mills, indicating that the allocations for one head of the material have been raised since the beginning of this month from 10 to 15 kilograms.

And the branch of the General Establishment for Fodder in As-Suwayda sold about 8,000 tons of fodder materials during the past year.
