In yesterday's raids, the police found a lot of equipment, including protective vests and bows, guns and ammunition, as well as plans to establish a "Homeland Defense Command" and evidence of recruiting members: "This is a dangerous combination of people who believe in illogical beliefs, some of them have a lot of money, others have weapons and plans to attack"

The authorities in Germany are planning additional arrests and raids in the coming days in connection with the extreme right-wing organization "Reich People" which, according to the prosecution, planned a coup d'état of the government to put a former aristocrat in a German royal family at the head of the country.

"Based on my experience, there is usually a second wave of arrests," Georg Meier, interior minister of the state of Thuringia, told Deutschlandfunk radio today (Thursday).

The new leader was to be Heinrich XIII Royce, who uses the title of Prince as heir to the Principality of Royce.

Twenty-five members and supporters of the organization were arrested yesterday in raids across Germany involving 3,000 security personnel, an operation unprecedented in Germany's modern history, Meyer said.

Holger Moinach, the head of the federal police, told the ZDF channel yesterday evening that he expects more suspects to be revealed in the coming days.

Mayer pointed out that the far-right party AfD has become a place where right-wing extremists spread fantasies about the overthrow of the government.

"People are afraid, and the AfD takes advantage of the fear and offers people solutions," he said.

Moyench also added that the number of suspects in the case is now 54, and the number may rise: "We have identified additional people whose status in relation to the organization we are not sure yet."

The police found in the raids a lot of equipment that included body armor and bows, guns and ammunition, as well as plans for the establishment of the "Homeland Defense Command" and evidence of recruiting members.

"It's a dangerous combination of people who believe in illogical beliefs, some of them have a lot of money, others have weapons and plans to attack," he said.

In a statement AfD condemned the organization's plot and expressed confidence in the authorities' ability to clarify the situation.

At the center of the program of the extreme right-wing organization "Citizens of the Reich", allegedly, is a 71-year-old German man, known as a prince named Heinrich XIII.

According to the federal prosecution, he is one of the two leaders of the network and is included among those arrested.

6,000 police officers participated in the extensive operation that included 130 scenes in 11 of the 16 states that make up Germany.

Of the 25 suspects arrested, 24 have German citizenship and one has Russian citizenship.

Germany's federal prosecutor also said that there are 27 other suspects who have yet to be arrested.

According to the German prosecution, Heinrich, a member of a German aristocratic family and a former paratrooper in the army, planned to serve as the "new leader of Germany", after contacting Russian officials who sought to establish the new order in the country.

It is suspected that a Russian woman named Vitalya helped him.
