The Syrian Investment Authority granted an investment license for the project to establish an integrated complex for poultry farming and meat production in As-Suwayda Governorate, at an estimated cost of 3 billion Syrian pounds.
The authority stated in a statement that the production capacity of the project, which extends over an area of 14,000 square meters, is 132,000 birds per production cycle and 1,800,000 kg of meat annually.
According to the statement, the project benefits from the natural and biological richness of the region, and relies on the closed breeding system in terms of the internal environment and feeding and modern feeding machines and lines, within an environment that allows the production of abundant quantities of products that cover the needs of the southern region with the possibility of exporting the surplus abroad.
The authority stated that there are future aspirations for the project owners to exploit all its outputs by adding complementary activities that maximize the added value to it, such as introducing new species of birds such as turkeys and geese, generating gas resulting from fermentation of chicken waste, and producing organic fertilizer from the project’s outputs.
