"Why are you wearing a cap":
This is how the Israeli doctor and researcher from Bar Ilan University Prof. Cyril Cohen was asked, who recently participated in an interview on a French network in his field of expertise.
During the interview, one of the moderators turned to Cohen and asked why he was walking around with a religious symbol (kippah) in the public space.
Cohen was not confused and replied "Why? Because I wear a cap all day. I didn't put it on especially when I got to your studio."

"Our public space is secular and we keep religion to ourselves," answered one of the participants in the discussion.
Cohen replied that "My name is Cohen, I come from Israel. Why should I keep my religion to myself?"
Cohen added that "if a priest or the Pope comes here, will you also tell him to take down the cross?"
Prof. Cohen said in a conversation with "Israel Today" that "I was invited to the program because I am interviewed about the corona virus for many French channels. We talked for 40 minutes about the corona virus and the vaccine and then at the end I was asked about my kippa. The question was also raised by the reporter sitting next to me that she is Jewish, but I did not feel that I'm attacked - I'm on good terms with them."
