The crime of oil spilling occurred in Taikoo Shing.
Today (9th) at around 2 am, it was reported that a man wearing a white shirt and trousers poured red oil on the ground of the Tang Palace Pavilion at Kam Tin Terrace in Taikoo Shing, and then fled along Taikoo Shing Road towards Sai Wan Ho. The security guard chased him to no avail and called the police in alarm.
After the incident, the glass door of the lobby and the ground outside the door were "stained with blood", and a plastic basin suspected of containing red oil was left behind.
The police searched the scene afterwards and seized a paper bag containing canned paint on the back stairs tens of meters away. It is not ruled out that someone "opened the oil" on the spot to commit the crime, and the case was classified as "criminal damage".
