Lopetegui: "Luis de la Fuente is ready to be a coach, he knows all the players"

The name of Luis de la Fuente, who has been announced as the new Spain coach, was the topic of conversation in El Larguero, where Julen Lopetegui, former Spanish coach and current coach of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club in the English Premiere League, was interviewed.

Lopetegui, very prudent, avoided speculating about who could sit on the bench but he did consider that Luis de la Fuente is "prepared" for his new position.

“Luis is a friend of mine, the two Luises (De la Fuente and Luis Enrique) are my friends.

I don't want to go in”, but he was encouraged to say that “he has been working in the Federation all his life, he knows perfectly all the players who have been arriving and that is an important experience”, he assured.

Lopetegui also explained that Spain's defeat against Morocco was a shame, but that he couldn't see it live because he was training with his team.
