The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Al-Hasakah Governorate finished distributing wheat seeds to farmers under the ID card to secure part of the seeds needed for planting operations for the current season.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Engineer Subhi al-Faraj, stated in a statement to SANA’s reporter that the distribution operations included 1,850 tons of wheat seed, both hard and soft, from the balance of the Foundation’s branch, with a quantity of 500 kilograms for a personal card or an agricultural license at a price of 2,200 Syrian pounds per kilogram, with the aim of helping farmers secure Part of the amount of seeds is necessary for cultivation, especially since there is a significant increase in seed prices with the increase in the demand for agriculture during the current period.
Al-Faraj pointed out that the distributed quantity is the entire balance of the institution’s branch in the warehouses, and it is possible that there will be additional quantities for distribution through the branch of the Syrian Foundation for Grain Trade and Extraction through it, in order for the distribution to include the largest possible number of beneficiaries.
