Starnberg - The driver of a van is stopped by the police on Münchener Strasse in Starnberg. He has to pay a security deposit of over 500 euros.
A patrol from the Starnberg Police Inspectorate checked the driver of a van on Tuesday evening at around 9:45 p.m. on Münchner Strasse in Starnberg.
Officers noticed the man smelled of alcohol.
A first breath alcohol test revealed a value of 0.7 per thousand.
For this reason, the man had to accompany the officials to the office.
The subsequent test on the alcohol test, which can be used in court, confirmed the result.
Motorists in Starnberg without permanent residence in Germany
Since the man does not have a permanent residence in Germany, he had to deposit a security deposit of over 500 euros on site - i.e. the amount that will be demanded from him in the following fine notice.
The man was allowed to retrieve the vehicle keys that had been seized after the alcohol level had gone down.
