The Russia Today website quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement: At Abu Dhabi Airport, the exchange process was successfully completed and the Russian citizen, Viktor Bout, was handed over in exchange for American basketball player Brittney Griner, who is being held in Russia.
In addition, the US White House announced the release of American basketball player Brittney Griner in a prisoner exchange deal with Russia.
