25 people were arrested on Wednesday.

A group close to the Reichsbürger scene had apparently planned a coup in Germany.

The plans for the campaign were already set.

Berlin — Early Wednesday morning, almost 3,000 police officers carried out a nationwide raid against an alleged terrorist network in Germany.

25 arrests were made.

The suspects are said to have been close to the Reichsbürger scene and planned to overthrow the democratic system in Germany.

The alleged ringleader Henry XIII.

Prince Reuss and 18 other conspirators are currently in custody.

The planned attempted coup was prevented at an early stage by the intervention of the investigating authorities.

The day after, more information about the conspirators' plans comes to light.

Reich citizen raid: Group planned "elimination of the democratic constitutional state"

The basic motivation of the group was a rejection of the democratic constitutional state in Germany.

The conspirators therefore wanted to abolish this system.

"We're talking about an association that, based on what we know so far, has planned the joint elimination of our democratic constitutional state," government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said on Thursday.

The group then wanted to set up a new political system in Germany.

The plan was to proclaim a "Principality of Germany" with Henry XIII.

Prince Reuss as monarch at the head of state.

The 71-year-old ringleader is a member of the House of Reuss, which ruled two small states in Thuringia until 1918.

Henry XIII

is considered an outsider in his family.

"He is single and is unfortunately a crazy old man," said family boss Heinrich XIV Prince Reuss after the arrest of his relative MDR.

There has been no contact with "this black sheep of the family" for a long time.

Prince Reuss: He wanted to be head of state in the new Germany

Henry XIII

belongs to the Reich citizen scene and still considers the Federal Republic of Germany to be occupied.

According to several reports, Henry XIII.

have already planned talks with the Russian Federation in the event of a successful takeover.

For his time as the new head of state of Germany, the prince had even set up a shadow cabinet to direct the fortunes of the new principality.

Reich citizen

"Reich citizens question the legitimacy and sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Some of them think that Germany is still at war and occupied because no peace treaty was signed after World War II.

Others claim that the Federal Republic is not just an occupation construct of secret powers behind the Allies, but also a company - the BRD GmbH.

Accordingly, only private law regulations would apply in disputes with the state.”

Reichsbürger raid: shadow cabinet prepared — first posts already taken

The Berlin judge Birgit Malsack-Winkemann was planned as Minister of Justice.

The 58-year-old sat in the last legislative period for the AfD in the German Bundestag.

After she missed moving back in 2021, Malsack-Winkemann worked again as a judge at the district court in Berlin.

The Berlin administrative court only decided in October that she was allowed to continue working as a judge.

After the raid on Wednesday, she left the civil chamber, as the Berlin judiciary announced.

The AfD politician still had an e-mail ID that gave her access to the Bundestag building.

Military arm of the Reichsbürger group: ex-paratroopers should set up "homeland security companies".

According to the report, the group already had a military arm in addition to a shadow cabinet.

This was led by a former paratrooper, who is currently regarded by the investigative authorities as the second ringleader.

The ex-soldier was probably entrusted with the task of building an army for the new German state.

As reported by

Bild.de

, the 69-year-old is said to have set up a management staff for the so-called “homeland security companies” that was responsible for recruiting soldiers and procuring weapons.

According to initial findings, the members included both former and active soldiers in the Bundeswehr.

An active soldier from the Special Forces Command (KSK) and several Bundeswehr reservists are being investigated.

A spokesman for the Federal Ministry of Defense confirmed the arrest of a KSK member.

Citizens of the Reich planned an attack on the Bundestag - possible deaths were accepted

In their planned coup, the conspirators were apparently willing to stop at nothing.

An armed attack on the Bundestag was in concrete preparation, possible deaths were accepted.

This was announced by the federal prosecutor's office on Wednesday.

However, the group accepted this scenario with approval.

There had already been shooting training, the federal prosecutor explained.

Despite the existing plans, the group apparently did not pose any acute danger.

"We are sure that there would have been a strike," said Attorney General Peter Frank in the evening on the ARD "Focal Point".

But there hasn't been a specific date yet.

The President of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Thomas Haldenwang, told "RTL direct": "We had this situation completely under control."

Raid against Reich citizens: Thuringia's interior minister expects further arrests

The Office for the Protection of the Constitution has been monitoring the group since spring.

However, Haldenwang does not give the all-clear.

The increasing willingness to use violence and the tendency to use weapons are problematic.

“The weapon affinity is very high.

There are legal and illegal weapons.”

However, the raid is said to be far from complete.

Thuringia's Interior Minister Georg Maier (SPD) expects further arrests in the coming days.

"Experience has shown that a second wave usually follows," Maier told Deutschlandfunk on Thursday.

I assume that there will be more arrests," the SPD politician continued.

Investigators also searched two objects at Tegernsee.
