Former Slovak Prime Minister and head of the Smyr Social Democratic Party, Robert Fico, considered that the Western sanctions imposed on Russia had failed to achieve their goals.
Fico pointed out during a press conference in Bratislava with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto that these sanctions failed to make Russia change its positions, on the contrary, it harmed the Europeans who imposed them, stressing that his party has serious reservations about the European Union lending Ukraine billions.
He called for intensifying cooperation between the countries of the Visegrad Group, which includes Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, considering that this group is a force capable of stopping decisions issued by the European Union.
