The competent authorities in Daraa thwarted an attempt to smuggle quantities of drugs towards Jordanian territory, and arrested the smugglers.
A source in the competent authorities stated in a statement to SANA that “as a result of the monitoring and investigation operations and the cooperation of the people, an attempt to smuggle more than 40 kilograms was thwarted after a clash with the smugglers near the Jordanian border,” noting that “the smugglers were arrested, and the weapons that were They have it.”
The source affirmed that the competent authorities “are intensively pursuing their tasks to combat all forms of trafficking and drug smuggling of all kinds.”
