The National Data Center in the National Authority for Network Services constitutes a basic support structure for the transition to e-government services, and it is one of the projects included in the digital transformation strategy for government services, according to the head of the Information Services Center in the Authority, Eng. Anwar Naameh.
Naameh explained in a statement to SANA that the authority, with the aim of developing the information technology sector, is working to raise the level of quality of its services provided through this center, which operates around the clock, while securing a special line for technical support and immediate response to address the technical problems of the agencies hosting the authority and answering the questions received regarding All services are provided immediately, pointing out that the center is the incubator for most digital transformation projects in public agencies.
According to Naameh, the center contributes to reducing the costs of establishing data centers distributed in public entities, and ensures a work environment that adheres to information security standards and policies, pointing out that the digital transformation projects hosted by the authority also include the electronic payment project, government electronic transactions, multi-use smart card, cloud computing, and citizen service centers. And Naameh stated that a cadre of the authority has been allocated to be present outside official working hours to follow up the monitoring software in the National Data Center, study all indicators issued by this software and respond to alerts or warnings in emergency cases, explaining that the cadre is working to receive requests from the authority’s customers via phone calls or electronic means. To ensure the quality of service provision, immediate technical support services can be requested by calling 3937032, 3937033 and 3937034.
In 2019, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers issued a circular in which it requested public entities to transfer hosting of their websites, applications, software and electronic services to a stable and secure work environment within the National Data Center in the National Authority for Network Services.
