Two men who would have attacked a bus in which dozens of Venezuelan and Colombian migrants were traveling and who later deprived them of their liberty were detained on the route to Ciudad Juárez, in northern Mexico, reported this Thursday in a communicated the Ministry of Public Security of Chihuahua.
According to the entity, the incident occurred on the Pan-American Highway when "armed subjects aboard several vehicles blocked the way and fired" at the unit with the aim of "depriving the people traveling on board of their liberty." .
During the attack, according to the story, the bus driver was injured and escaped, later informing the authorities of the incident and an operation was deployed.
It was not indicated what type of injury the driver suffered or what happened to him later.

The Secretariat explained that the state police located at the entrance of Ciudad Juárez two vehicles that matched the description given by the bus driver.
In one of the cars they found the suspects and 23 Venezuelan migrants.
No details were given about what was found in the other van, which was abandoned.
"The migrants pointed to the two subjects as those responsible for having deprived them of their liberty," the statement explained.
In total, 29 migrants from Venezuela and Colombia were rescued, who were transferred to the headquarters of the Chihuahua Public Security Secretariat, according to the report.

The detainees, only identified as Luis Alejandro CR and Carlos Daniel F. V, were made available to the Chihuahua Attorney General's Office to be processed, according to the statement.
