A year after his visit to Sweden, Russia's Foreign Minister Lavrov is severely traumatized: he saw a unisex toilet.

Moscow – The Kremlin often portrays Russia's war against Ukraine as a war against the Western world. In October, President Vladimir Putin once again ranted about Western society, blustering against the Western-dominated "world order".

But sexual and gender minorities in particular are a thorn in the side of him and the Russian government.

“Do we want parent one and parent two?

Are you nuts?” Putin said during a speech.

"Do you want a third gender?" Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has similar enemy images, as he has now demonstrated at a conference.

Sweden visit shocks Sergey Lavrov - he complains about "inhuman" toilets

At the Primakov readings in Moscow, Lavrov first begins to complain that there are 80 genders in “Europe and England,” as a video posted by the

news portal on Twitter shows.

Lavrov had to experience immorality in the West firsthand when he asked about the toilet at the OSCE meeting in Sweden a year ago: "I was shown a door with the letters WC," says Lavrov.

"I asked, 'Is this for women or men?'

They said to me: 'We have it all together.'

I didn't believe it, but that's how it really was.”

Lavrov looks shocked and depressed: "You can't imagine how inhuman it is.

It's just not human," he added for clarity.

Lavrov doesn't seem to be interested in the fact that unisex toilets also have separate cubicles.

Nor that you can find such toilets in Russia, for example in trains, planes or private homes.

Anti-queer government in Russia tightens law against “LGBT propaganda”.

Lavrov and Putin regularly deplore the West's supposed "aggressive LGBT propaganda".

A corresponding law in Russia was only recently tightened.

In a speech in Minsk in 2018, the Foreign Minister compared homosexuals with pedophiles and terrorists, as reported by

Where and how Lavrov finally relieved himself in Sweden remained open.
