Mobility stations will be set up at 14 locations in the city of Germering.
Exactly where they are has now been presented to the city council's planning and construction committee.
Germering – A decision did not have to be made.
The measure, which is coordinated by the district office, is to be implemented in 2023 and 2024.
Mobility stations should combine the offers of classic local transport with sharing concepts.
At least in the Fürstenfeldbruck district, this will be uniform, so that you can pick up rental bikes at one station and hand them in at another.
Connection to Munich difficult
At the interface to the Munich city area, however, there are problems due to different systems and processing, as Maximilian Streicher (ÖDP) noted.
Mayor Andreas Haas (CSU) also indicated that he saw a need for improvement: "Why do these differences have to be?" He asked the group.
Booking systems must be compatible - "even if there are different providers".
An operator is still being sought for Germering.
Negotiations for church land
At least at the Germeringer locations, there are hardly any problems, as City Hall employee Sven Gröting explained to the committee: With the exception of the Harthaus Nord location, which is situated on church property, all of them are the responsibility of the city.

By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular
FFB newsletter.)
However, there have been changes in the meantime.
The station on Otto-Wagner-Strasse cannot be built on church property because no agreement was reached with church officials.
Now the station is being built near an ice cream parlour.
SPD parliamentary group spokesman Daniel Liebetruth feared that the benches there would have to be removed or at least reduced.
However, this was denied by the city administration.
The seating would remain for the customers of the ice cream parlor, but there would be no parking spaces.
Liebetruth rated it “basically very positive” that the mobility stations are progressing.
"Other stations like Germeringer See should follow," he said.
Gröting replied that the expected demand there does not currently allow for another location.
