A preliminary magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck the Mindanao region of the Philippines early Saturday morning local time, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 2 kilometers northeast of Pondaguitan, with a depth of 73.9 kilometers, according to the entity.
The USGS has not issued any tsunami warnings at this time.
