A 23-year-old from the Munich district died on Thursday after a serious accident around 7 p.m. on the A 92 near Freising.

– A woman (23) from the Freising district died in a car accident on Thursday evening after 7 p.m. between the Freising-Ost and Freising-Mitte junctions.
According to the traffic police in Freising, the 23-year-old driver of a VW Polo “veered off the road to the right for reasons that have not yet been clarified”.
The car crashed into the guardrail and came to rest on the grass verge.
The driver from the Hanau district was seriously injured and had to be flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter.
Any help came too late for his 23-year-old passenger: she died at the scene of the accident.

Road closed for five hours
The lane towards Munich had to be closed for around five hours while the accident was being recorded.
In order to clarify the cause of the accident, an expert was called in by the Landshut public prosecutor's office.
Witnesses who can provide information about the course of the accident are asked to contact the Freising Traffic Police Inspectorate on Tel. (0 81 61) 95 20.
