Camilla uses her husband's wardrobe.

For the reception of the diplomatic corps she wore - not for the first time - a robe of Charles III.

The tiara, which was reserved for Queen Elizabeth II before her death, is new.

LONDON - The event at the royal residence marks the first reception of the Diplomatic Corps in the reign of King Charles III.

(74).

The monarch, his wife Camilla (75), eldest son and heir apparent William (40) and daughter-in-law Kate (40), the future Queen, welcomed the foreign ambassadors to the grand event in the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace, where Camilla was in a special robe and shone with an opulent headdress.

The wife of King Charles III.

showed up in classic male garb

The king's wife revealed that like many other women, she likes to rummage through her husband's closet.

This is especially worthwhile when the husband is the king.

But it wasn't just a sense of fashion that made Camilla reach for the Saudi daqlah, a traditional garment designed by the well-known Saudi designer Yahya Al Bishri (60).

It was a gift to the former Prince of Wales during one of his visits to Saudi Arabia.

Her style was also a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II (96, †2022), whose wonderful sapphire tiara Camilla wore to the reception for the second time since her death in September.

The event was originally supposed to be held at Windsor Castle in March this year, but was postponed due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Normally the reception takes place in December each year, however there were no receptions in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic.

Style details on Camilla's outfit for the reception

Camilla paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II by wearing her George VI.

wore a sapphire tiara.

The Queen Consort saw in the loan of her husband Charles III.

looking elegant when she arrived at the reception in London.

She wore the black cape with delicate silver embroidery over a satin gown by British designer Anna Valentine.

Camilla took off the valuable throw after arriving in the hall.

Obligatory: ribbon and star of the Order of the Garter.

Camilla is a repeat offender: she has already borrowed the Daqlah twice

Again and again Camilla tampered with the wardrobe of her husband King Charles III.

Made of wool and cashmere, the national costume is worn over a "thobe", a white ankle-length robe worn by sheikhs in the Middle East.

The Duchess of Cornwall wore the waistcoat, which is actually made for a man, very elegantly with a navy blue ensemble at the party.

At the current reception among 2,000 guests, the king's wife was cosmopolitan.

For the last time, Camilla borrowed her husband's robes for BBC's Platinum Party at the Palace at Buckingham Palace.

In a slightly modified form, Camilla presented herself in the noble play in 2008 at a sunset ceremony at the military airfield of the British Royal Air Force in Cranwell near Sleaford.

She also wore the beautiful design to a number of events at Windsor Castle in 2010.
