Until then, there are numerous Advent events in many towns and communities in the district.

District – These are the concerts, Christmas markets and Christmas bazaars that will take place in the district next weekend:

Althegnenberg

"Pre-Christmas time all over the world" is the motto of the Advent concert of the Musikverein Althegnenberg on Sunday from 4 p.m. in the parish church.

The Grand Orchestra and the Youth Orchestra perform pieces from England, America, South America, Poland and other countries.

Admission is free.

emmering

The Emmering Christmas takes place from Friday to Sunday on the forecourt of the Bürgerhaus in Emmering.

It is open on Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Visitors can try their hand at making candles and grill bread on a stick over the campfire.

The highlights on the stage will be the light shows of the children's hands-on circus: on Friday from 9 p.m., on Saturday from 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 3.45 p.m.

Furstenfeldbruck

The Christmas market at Viehmarktplatz is open on Friday and weekends from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The program includes the old-school big band on Friday evening (5.30 p.m.), on Saturday the Munich Punch and Judy show in the children's tent (2 p.m. and 3 p.m.) and music from the Gilchinger Alphorn players (4.30 p.m.).

On Sunday, December 11, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be handicrafts for Christmas in the children's tent.

In the evening there is music with the Schöngeising brass band.

The field railway museum opens its doors on Sunday, December 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

There are, among other things, model railway demonstrations and a railway flea market.

On Saturday, the singers and musicians of the Bach Choir, conducted by Gerd Guglhör, will present the first three cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio in the Stadtsaal.

It starts at 7 p.m.

High-ranking visitors at the farmers' market on Saturday (7.30 a.m. to 12 p.m.): Santa Claus will mingle with the visitors and hand out sweets, apples and nuts.

Geltendorf

Christmas sounds also on Saturday in Geltendorf: The Advent concert from 6 p.m. in St. Stephan will be performed by the children's choir of the local music school and a wind group from the Geltendorf Wind Orchestra.

Germering

The Christmas market in front of the Stadthalle is open on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday until 8 p.m.

This Friday at 7 p.m., the Unterpfaffenhofen volunteer fire brigade will be heating up the campfire and the Brucker Perchten and Rauhnachtsgsindl will come by.

The Kasperltheater offers two performances on Saturday (3 p.m. and 4 p.m.).

At 6 p.m., the concert choir will perform.

The hunting horn players will play at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Santa comes by every day at 5:30 p.m.

The VdK Germering Christmas party begins on Saturday at 3 p.m.

The meeting point is the hall of the Don Bosco Church.

Non-members are also welcome.

On Sunday, after the service from 11 a.m., an Advent bazaar will take place in the community rooms of the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Church.

Socks, homemade jams, cookies and small Advent items can be purchased until 3 p.m.

For the physical well-being there is, among other things, punch, waffles and salty pastries.

The Christmas Oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach can be heard on Sunday from 5 p.m. in St. Johannes Bosco.

The choral community and the Musica Sacra orchestra present parts 1, 2 and 6.

Grafrath

The 54th Advent carol singing in St. Rasso in Grafrath on Sunday at 4 p.m. will also attract many listeners.

The participants are the Grafrath Singing Community and its children's choir, the singers from Cantiamo, the Choriosum choir, the Flautamente group, the Grafrather Geigenmusi and wind instruments from the Grafrath-Kottgeisering music association.

Groebenzell

In a carving seminar, the Groeben Keepers will show those who are interested how a nativity scene figure is created.

The course begins on Sunday at 11 a.m. in the local history and peat museum, Rathausstrasse 3. Admission is free.

A registration is not required.

Gunzlhofen

In Günzlhofen, the Liedertafel invites you to the Advent singing on Saturday at 6 p.m. in St. Margareta.

Afterwards everyone meets in the vicarage around the campfire with sausages and mulled wine (in bad weather in the vicarage).

Admission is free.

Kaltenberg

It's only half-time at the Christmas market in Kaltenberg.

It is still open on the third and fourth weekend in Advent.

Fridays (adults 7.50 euros, young people from 13 to 15 years four euros, children free) from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 11.30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays from 11.30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

At the weekend, adults pay ten euros on both days, young people five euros.

Maisach

An Advent market runs around the town hall in Maisach on Saturday and Sunday.

The Hüttendorf is open on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The indoor areas in the community center and school can be visited on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In the town hall garden, visitors can marvel at a nativity scene and live sheep.

While there is food and drink at the stalls outside, practical and decorative items are sold inside in the community center, and a nativity scene exhibition can also be admired.

The program also includes Advent singing in the church in Gernlinden on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Mammendorf

In Mammendorf, Neptune appears from the bathing lake on Saturday.

At this special Advent event organized by the water rescue service, the sea god, a diver in disguise, distributes around 350 gift bags to children from 5.30 p.m.

Mulled wine, children's punch and grilled sausages are available from 5 p.m.

Olching

In Olching you can indulge in the magic of the booths on the Nöscherplatz on all Advent weekends.

Friday is open from 5 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

In addition to a varied music program, there will be different offers in the "Offene Hütte" every weekend.

This Saturday you can admire the Christmas chainsaw art of Daniel Sulzberger.

Santa Claus will stop by from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Amper-Perchten traditionally come to Olching on the evening of the 4th Advent.

Carrying torches and shrouded in mist, they will emerge with their wooden masks.

The Christmas market also attracts with handicrafts, drinks and food as well as homemade Christmas treats.

The last exhibition of carving and crib friends is open on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the KOM, Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Puchheim place

There is a small Christmas market in Puchheim-Ort am Kreuthof.

It starts at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 9th.

On the weekend of December 10th and 11th, there will be a party from 12 noon.

In addition to culinary delicacies, handicrafts await visitors.

St. Ottilien

Alpine songs and contemplative texts can be heard on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the St. Ottilien monastery church.

The folk music groups involved are: the Weikertshofer Winds, the Oberstadtler Singers, the Guichinger Singers and the Schulz Family Musicians.

Admission is free.

Turk field

The Christmas in the mountains in Türkenfeld is entering its second of three market weekends.

It is open on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A highlight will be when on Sunday at 2 p.m. the Christ Child floats up into the sky in a hot air balloon (only in good weather).

Admission to the Steingassenberg site costs six euros, children up to the age of 16 are free.

The Advent singing of the choirs - the choir community MGV, the Voices and the church choir Mariä Himmelfahrt - will take place on Sunday, December 11, 5 p.m. in the church.
