District President Dr.
Konrad Schober handed over the Bavarian Rescue Medal to Sandra Bauer from Eichenau (district of Fürstenfeldbruck).
Eichenau/Gernlinden - In February 2020, a violent argument broke out between two young men on the platform of the Gernlinden S-Bahn station.
One of the two hit the other in the face so hard that the victim fell backwards onto the track bed and lay there motionless.

The then 15-year-old Eichenauer Sandra Bauer noticed the incident and jumped without hesitation to the injured person on the track bed, reports the government of Upper Bavaria.
Unable to lift the very tall man on her own, she called in Sebastian Mack and Lukas Rautenberg for support.
With a combined effort, all three finally managed to get the injured man out of the track bed before the next S-Bahn pulled into the station.
The two other helpers had already been honored by Prime Minister Markus Söder in September.
Since Sandra Bauer could not be present at this date, her award has now been made up for, as the government reports.
"Through your courageous action, in which you put your own life in danger, you saved the life of this man," praised District President Dr.
Konrad Schober saved the young woman.
