Poland signed an agreement in July with the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem for 1,000 tanks, more than four times the number of Leclerc tanks operational in the French army.
180 of them must be delivered between 2022 and 2025 for a value of 3.37 billion dollars.
To this colossal contract is added another which provides for the delivery of 672 K9 howitzers.
By comparison, France has planned for its part for 2025 to acquire 109 CAESAR guns, 155mm self-propelled howitzers of the same category.
Poland has also ordered 50 FA-50 and 288 fighter jets from South Korea.
