Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov confirmed that the resilience of the Russian economy and the effectiveness of the economic measures taken in the country against Western sanctions are driving the White House crazy.
TASS news agency quoted Ryabkov as saying during a discussion entitled (Russia and the United States... What are the limits of confrontation) on the platform of the Valdai International Dialogue Club: “The stability shown by our economy and the effectiveness of measures to stabilize the ruble exchange rate and all this with inflation in the United States itself, rising prices and the occurrence of some shortages Periodically in European satellite countries it simply drives the White House crazy,” pointing out that “US sanctions against Russia fall within the context of Washington's unrealistic demands.”
Regarding the statements made by representatives of the US administration regarding the possibility of lifting sanctions against Russia, Ryabkov downplayed the importance of these statements, considering them vague and cannot be taken seriously.
On the other hand, Ryabkov stressed that Russia will not put forward any initiatives in the field of strategic stability and security guarantees in the dialogue with the United States, describing the Russian-American relations as a deplorable state, as Washington's anti-Russian path has become more severe, and it has become objectively impossible to maintain normal contact with Russia.
