"Last generation" demonstrates at the airport: No impact on air traffic
At around 8.50 a.m., police officers from the federal and state police
first found
three people who wanted to climb over the security fence in the area of the southern runway.
This attempted intrusion into the aviation security area was immediately thwarted with the support of the Bavarian riot police and the people were secured by the police.
At 9 a.m., four other people were found who had cut through the fence in the northern runway area and stuck themselves to a nearby taxiway.
The joint statement of opinion planned by the four people was dissolved by the police as quickly as possible.
Three
people who were stuck were professionally released
and also taken into custody.
Air traffic on the northern runway could therefore be released again around 10 a.m.
One person had to be mechanically freed from the self-adhesive surface together with the airport fire brigade.
This lasted until 11:09 a.m., but had no further impact on the return to flight operations.
"Last generation" demonstrates at the airport: seven people are in custody
Federal and state police, organizations at Munich Airport and the airport operator worked closely together.
This enabled the blockade to be cleared quickly and flight operations to be restored as quickly as possible on the northern runway affected.
As a result, flight operations were restricted for significantly less than an hour.
The police investigations are being conducted by the Erding Criminal Police Inspectorate in close cooperation with the Munich Airport Police Inspectorate and the Landshut Public Prosecutor's Office.
All seven people identified are currently in police custody.
As a result, a judicial decision is brought about on the arrests.
"Last generation" demonstrates at the airport: Medical emergencies were only allowed to land later
As has since become known, a medical emergency occurred on board a plane flying in from the USA.
An 80-year-old passenger complained of chest pains.
The machine was scheduled to land on the north runway at 09:18.
It had to be diverted to the southern runway at short notice and was only able to land there safely 20 minutes later than planned, at 09:38.
The emergency patient was immediately taken to a nearby hospital by the ambulance service.
His condition is known to police to be stable.

The police strongly condemn the willful intrusion into the security area of the airport.
Even if it was possible to prevent extensive disruptions to flight operations through the close cooperation of all security forces and the airport operator, the case described above shows the possible effects of such actions.
