Some things will be different at the 2023 cultural summer on the Nikolaiberg in Wartenberg.
The concert of a hit star has already been announced.
Wartenberg – Wolfgang Krebs, Hans Söllner, Martina Schwarzmann: Some prominent artists have already performed at the Cultural Summer on the Wartenberg Nikolaiberg.
This year the event - a child of the Corona period - was raised bigger than ever.
A complete success, only the market as organizer left a minus in the cash register.
The cultural summer is therefore set for next year, but with slightly fewer performances.
The first events were already announced this week at the meeting of the Education and Culture Committee, including a concert by pop singer Nicki.
Mayor Christian Pröbst (CSU) gave a review and outlook.
Eleven events were successfully pulled through this summer, twice with 500 spectators given the "sold out" sign.
Once, as reported, a concert had to be postponed due to bad weather.
According to Pröbst, the visitors were all in the best of spirits, and the clubs were able to improve their coffers with the hospitality.
Or use the money, for example Henaheisl eV, for a generous donation of 5000 euros to children's palliative care (we reported).
But the organizer was left with a minus.
However, the mayor and committee members agreed that the cultural and social aspect outweighed that.
But there is room for improvement.
There will only be six events, and most importantly, a family ticket for two adults and three children under the age of 15 will be introduced, which will cost 59 euros.
In addition, access to the Nikolaiberg is to be improved and the parking spaces are to be signposted.
The municipality will also purchase a chain of lights.
The relocation of the toilet wagon, which has already been discussed in the past, because of the necessary connections for cost reasons, will only be possible in the medium term.
And: The citizens are allowed to wish for something.
The municipality wants to take care of a social media officer and in the newsletter call on citizens to make suggestions for events next summer.
Another suggestion from the panel was to have a medieval band perform as well.
The considerations extend to another date in the Strogenhalle, namely for classical music.
The vocal ensemble "Xangphonix" could be requested.
The screening of a cult film on Nikolaiberg was also discussed.
So next year it should be entertaining and possibly even more varied.
These three dates have already been set for the 2023 cultural summer:
June 7: Cabaret artist Christine Eixenberger with her program "Einbildungsfreiheit" (also known from the ZDF series "Marie catching fire");
July 2: Nicki anniversary concert (pop star for 40 years) with after-show performance by i-Düpferl from Taufkirchen;
July 6th: Dis M (newcomer band from Munich, insider tip of Henaheisl eV) with support act Elli & Tina.
