The salary of the Munich bosses at a glance: while the head of the Sparkasse collects 652,500 euros, the leader is about half that.

Munich - The top earner of the city's companies remains savings bank boss Ralf Fleischer.

That emerges from the financial data and participation report, which will be presented to the city council in December.

The savings bank manager received a total of 652,500 euros last year - including bonuses.

That was about 2,000 euros more than in the previous year.

Over the course of five years, Fleischer's salary has increased by 111,500 euros.

For comparison: Munich's Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD) came to around 170,000 euros in 2021.

Public utility boss Florian Bieberbach is again high up on the list of the city's top earners with 549,000 euros.

However: With a minus of 25,000 euros compared to the previous year, the head of the largest city company made even less in 2021 than before.

Incidentally, more than 10,000 employees work for SWM.

There was a slight plus for the head of the Munich clinic: Axel Fischer received 468,825 euros last year – a total of around 2000 euros more than in 2020.

There was also a slight increase in income in 2021 for Klaus-Michael Dengler - the boss of the municipal housing company Gewofag: A total of 264,420 euros ended up in his account - that was almost 2000 euros more than a year earlier.

His former colleague Christian Amlong, then head of the housing association GWG, came to 216,421 euros – his then co-boss Gerda Peter got the same.

This placed Peter among the top earners among women in urban societies.

Susanne Diefenthal from the Munich Clinic earned a little better with 321,403 euros.

Top earner among women: Marlies Mirbeth from the Sparkasse Board of Directors with 331,410 euros – she retired in the middle of the year.
