"I was barefoot": Meghan Markle reports on her first meeting with Kate and William

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Netflix documentary reveals many unknown details.
In a confession in the second episode, Meghan recalls how she first met Prince William and Kate.
Prince Harry adds his pointed mustard.
London – Prince William (40) and his wife Kate Middleton (40) should not like that at all.
In her newly released Netflix documentary, Meghan reports – quite legally from her point of view – about the first meeting of the then unmarried Meghan Markle (41) with Prince Harry's (38) brother William and Princess Kate.
Apparently it wasn't very pleasant.
Meghan says: 'I remember wearing ripped jeans and being barefoot'
Meghan recounts it in the second episode of the Netflx series:
"When Will and Kate came to visit and I first met them, they came over for dinner." The all-American actress took it easy on Meghan: "I remember that I was wearing ripped jeans and was barefoot,"

quoted the documentary as saying.

But this kind of understatement doesn't seem to go down too well with the royals.
She would not have realized at the time that many Brits find hugs "uncomfortable", she says in the first part of the six-part series.
The Duchess of Sussex is apparently the opposite:
"I'm a hugger.
I've always been a hugger, but I didn't realize it was really shocking to a lot of Brits,"
Meghan said.
"Oh, she's an American actress, that won't last long"
"I think I realized very quickly that the formality on the outside carries over to the inside," says the mother-of-two today of the meeting, at which one can easily imagine how Kate and William, at least internally, recoiled.
For his part, Prince Harry recalled what it was like when he first took Meghan to his family: "They were surprised that such a redhead could land such a beautiful woman.
And such an intelligent woman."

Harry doesn't impute a friendly judgment to his family about the fact that Meghan was a series actress: "Oh, she's an American actress, that won't last long," he says.
Harry can't resist a little jab at brother William and Kate in the newly launched controversial documentary: "For many people in the family, especially the men, there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who is in the pattern fits, as opposed to someone you might be meant for," he is quoted as saying in the documentary.
