An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines today.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said in a statement, “The tremor struck at a depth of 60 kilometers, without reports of injuries or material damage, or any warnings of a tsunami.”
