Frustration came at a high price: Trump is on the way to moral and political destruction Israel today

2022-12-10T21:34:16.857Z

The former president, who is remembered as one of the most sympathetic presidents to Israel in history, continues to pour fuel on the fire of hatred for Jews • It seems that even his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, distances himself from Trump and spends these days in Qatar

The frustration of the former US president, Donald Trump, at the Jewish community's lack of support for him, can be well understood. Certainly from an Israeli angle.

Trump did indeed very courageously break the records of support of American presidents for Israel, in a series of historic moves. His name is etched forever in the annals of Jewish history and the world, so his expectation of a reward from the American Jews is well understood.

But the first problem is that for a considerable part of American Jews, Israel is not in the first place in the list of priorities. Trump learned this in retrospect and the hard way. This is exactly what the former president has been doing for the past month.

True, it can be argued that Kammy continues to pour fuel on Alania West suffers from a mental disorder and therefore his disgraceful words should not be taken seriously. True, the excuse can be made that "we just sat down to dinner and I didn't know who Nick Fuentes was" - the Holocaust denier who joined For Trump West's dinner at the mansion at Mar-a-Lago.

But if these are indeed innocent mistakes, then the obvious step was to correct them.

Whereas Trump, not only did he not apologize - something he never does - but he also continues to pour fuel on the fire.

His statement from Friday, which both slams the Jews with the historical charge of "dual loyalty", and also backs the anti-Israeli members of Congress from the Democratic end of the map, only increases the anti-Semitic surge that is already sweeping the United States.

There is more than one reason to think that Trump is doing this with deliberate cynicism.

He could calm, appease or clarify.

Instead, he presses on the darkest veins of the Jew-haters, while creating an unprecedented connection between the people of "white supremacy", and the anti-Semitic blacks, where the hatred of the Jews is the common denominator.

Second, a few days before the meeting in question with West, Trump wrote the following on his social network "The Truth": "No president has done as much for Israel as I have. Nevertheless, somehow and surprisingly the wonderful evangelical community appreciates (this) much more than the people of faith The Jewish community, especially those who live in the USA." These Jews, he added, "need to unite and act for Israel, before it is too late."

Beyond the seriousness of things themselves, Trump did not then explain what was behind the words, "before it's too late".

However, in light of the developments that followed, there is reason to suspect that everything was planned.

Trump provided the Jews with a so-called 'last warning' before lighting the fire.

When the "warning" was not heeded, he met West and Fuentes and then began to attack American Jewry. Because the goal, as stated, is to gain political support from everyone nearby.

The one who may have known all of this and therefore decided in advance to distance himself, is Trump's Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, the architect of the victory in 2016.

Instead of standing by his father-in-law's side again, Kushner was spotted spending time protesting at the World Cup in Qatar.

Maybe he knows something we don't.

Either way, with all due respect to Trump, and there is some respect, these are limits that should not be crossed.

Not only in terms of American Jewry, he crossed the red lines, but also in the opinion of many Israelis.

Because the incitement of anti-Semitism and the low level of support for Israel in Congress are two actions that no Jew can put up with, neither in Israel nor abroad.

But not only will Trump lose the support of the Jews and Israel, but also the notes of the evangelicals he praised.

This important group does put Israel first, but it is also attentive to Israel, much more than to Trump.

As soon as the signal is given from Israel that Trump is not legitimate, and it will be given, the Christians who love Israel will withdraw their support from Trump.

So the former president faces not only moral destruction but also political collapse.
