Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the Australian government's imposition of sanctions on some Iranian individuals and institutions, considering that this act is an example of interference in Iran's internal affairs, incitement, incitement, and promotion of violence and hatred.
Kanani added in a statement today: “The new Australian action against Iran took place at a time when the government of this country has systematically violated the basic rights of Australian citizens, prisoners and asylum seekers for many years, and has also provided shelter to elements of terrorist and separatist groups hostile to Iran.”
Kanani pointed out that international organizations have published, during the past decade, many documentary reports on human rights violations in Australia, and the Australian government has recently prevented the International Committee for the Prevention of Torture from visiting detention centers so that its inhumane treatment of refugees remains hidden, stressing that such violations require reactions. clear by the international community and human rights protection organizations.
