A new chairperson was finally elected in the general assembly: Sabine Wendt takes over the helm.

The basic contract concluded with the district in October brings confidence.

Taufkirchen – The waves recently hit high between the district youth ring (KJR) and the district of Erding.

It was about the granting of grants and the right to have a say for the youth organization (we reported).

At the autumn plenary meeting of the KJR, District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer praised the basic agreement concluded in October as a "good solution" for future cooperation.

In addition, the members elected Sabine Wendt as a new chairperson.

After the dispute between the district and the KJR and after a year of negotiations, the new basic contract was signed on October 14th.

Result: The KJR can now have a say in the granting of leisure grants, but the funds are transferred by the district.

"We look forward to next year, we will examine how we can work with the basic agreement and look forward to better cooperation with the youth welfare office through Christian Numberger, who is new in office," said Deputy Chair Andrea Jarmurskewitz.

"With several constructive rounds of negotiations, we made the basic agreement ready for signature," reported Jarmurskewitz.

The applications for financial support from the associations are to be digitized with immediate effect.

“The application forms go to the district office.

They can then see and edit that,” she explained.

"We as KJR will then forward our statement to the district office."

The district administrator thanked the KJR for having found a good solution after several talks and discussions.

"With the basic agreement, we have created the basis for future cooperation, which enables the goal of youth work and presents it transparently so that there are no difficulties in the future," says Bayerstorfer.

There are different positions, but in the end we agreed well.

When it came to the funding measures, he noticed that the topics of migration and the disabled had so far been left out.

"These areas are very important to me and of course they are included in the new funding guidelines." In view of the situation in Ukraine, it is also his concern to expand international funding and focus on measures abroad.

“This is an important contribution to international understanding and peacekeeping.

People who know each other don't shoot at each other."

Jarmurskewitz presented the annual plan.

In 2023, the primary focus will be on the search for a new managing director and an administrative employee.

A children's and youth camp in Werfenweng and holiday care at the Notzinger Weiher are also planned.

On the occasion of the state elections, there will again be U18 elections with polling stations at three schools and in the office, as well as an event with state parliament candidates.

Language trips are also being planned for 2024.

“The previous provider went bankrupt during the Corona period.

Now we need to find someone with an educational background," Jarmurskewitz said.

The office will also be moving in July.

The district provides suitable premises for this purpose.

"We are currently very central in the long line," said the second chairwoman.

She hopes to be able to remain central so that the office is easily accessible by bus and train.

Since no new chairman could be found at the last general assembly in spring, a by-election was held for the remaining one and a half year term of office.

Sabine Wendt from the Evangelical Youth Association and Werner Lauer from the Bavarian Sports Youth ran for office.

Wendt has been on the board for over two years and has gained a lot of experience as a result.

With his experience at the age of 73, Lauer wanted to settle the quarrels and then hand over the KJR to young people.
