Tehran-SANA
Today, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the British Ambassador to Tehran, Simon Shercliffe, to protest London's support for acts of terrorism and interference in Iran's internal affairs.
Fars News Agency quoted a statement by the Iranian Foreign Ministry as saying: The head of the Third Department for Western Europe in the ministry met with the British ambassador and informed him of Tehran's protest against the continued interventionist statements of British officials in Iran's internal developments, their support for terrorism and riots, and the imposition of illegal bans on a number of Iranian nationals.
The statement stated that the Iranian official expressed his country's strong condemnation of these actions, and stressed that the attempts of Britain and the government media in London to support the riots will not lead to any result, explaining that Tehran reserves the right to reciprocate the British embargo measures.
The statement pointed out that the ambassador was informed of Iran's strong rejection of London's unfounded accusations about the allegations of exporting Iranian drones to Russia without providing any evidence, and the assertion that what led to "prolonging the life of the war in Ukraine was the sending of lethal weapons by Britain and its partners to Russia." This country, which repeatedly delays the political option to resolve the crisis.
