Homs-Sana
In an atmosphere of joy and within the activities of the (Runwa Grass) festival in Homs, the People with Disabilities Band presented today various artistic performances in the new hall of Margis Church in Al-Hamidiyah neighborhood, in the presence of a crowd of the neighborhood's residents.
The performances included theatrical paintings and various songs presented by 13 people with disabilities after being trained by specialized teachers.
Father Silwan Sneij, the festival official, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the aim of the event is to shed light on people with disabilities and convey feelings of love and affection to them as an essential part of society that cannot be neglected or marginalized.
He added that the (Runwa Grass) festival began in the Al-Hamidiya neighborhood in 2015 with the aim of bringing joy to the hearts of the people of the Old City after years of suffering, and it has become an annual tradition that brings together people from all neighborhoods, in which teams and events present their best during the month of Christmas.
