"Let's look more paragon": Asaf Granit and Yossi Shetrit won the Israeli cuisine awards ceremony Israel today

The entire not-so-small scene of the bubbling Israeli culinary scene arrived last night (Monday) at the Israeli Cuisine Awards ceremony, which took place in Tel Aviv.

The producers of the event did not ignore the fact that the situation in the country today also makes Israeli cuisine "one that will fight the darkness that is about to fall upon us".

The economic aspect was not addressed at the ceremony, but what was clear is that next year the Israeli restaurant industry will face quite an economic challenge, which is already showing its signs in the balance sheets at the end of the month.

And now for the happy main winners: the culinary institution of the year is "Zeba" from Kfar Rama;

The chef of the year unsurprisingly went to the duo Assaf Granit and Uri Navon ("Mechanioda");

The Hachshara restaurant of the year is "Pescado" from Ashdod by chef Yehi Zino;

Yossi Shetrit won the award for the new restaurant of the year with the busy Tel Aviv "Hiva", where it is almost impossible to get a seat;

And the local producer prize was awarded this year to a Barkanit dairy from Kfar Yehezkel, which produces cheeses that do not fall short in taste of foreign-made competitors.

Upon winning, Granit said: "I welcome this ceremony, and I hope to see all of us next year in a bigger hall. Personally, I would be happy to see more support in our field for each other."

David Kishka, one of the founders of the award, said at the end of the event: "Tonight we experienced a generational meeting of the founding generation of culinary in Israel and of the generation that will determine what the future will look like. Israeli restaurants are developing more and more, and out of 20 awards that were distributed, only eight went to restaurants operating in Tel Aviv. There were restaurants here They won from the Golan Heights and Mailat, and that makes the heart happy."
