One of the things for which the World Cup in Qatar will be remembered has its own name: Stéphanie Frappart, the French referee who has become the first woman to referee a match in a World Cup.

A historical milestone that has taken place in Qatar, a theocracy where Islamic law governs and women need authorization from their fathers or husbands for almost everything important.

Natalia Junquera, special envoy from EL PAÍS to Qatar, tells us how that 30% of the population lives.
