Tokyo-sana
An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale struck today off the coast of Amami Oshima Island, southwestern Japan.
The Japan Meteorological Agency stated that the quake was at a depth of 30 kilometers under the water surface, and its epicenter was determined at 27.6 degrees north latitude and 129.5 degrees east longitude.
There were no reports of injuries or material damage, or tsunami warnings issued.
