A second journalist was killed while covering the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, according to a tweet by Qatari outlet AlKass on Saturday.
Photojournalist Khaled Saif Salem al-Misslam was working for the Qatari channel when he died over the weekend, and The Gulf Times reported that he died suddenly while covering the tournament.
“We are praying to Almighty God to provide his immensity of mercy and allow him to be in his spacious gardens, and to provide patience and comfort to his family and relatives,” AlKass tweeted.
The circumstances surrounding al-Misslam's death are unclear.
AlKass did not release further information and did not respond to CNN's request for comment.

FIFA and the Qatari government also did not respond to CNN's request for comment.

The death of Khaled Saif Salem al-Misslam comes after American journalist Grant Wahl died on Friday after collapsing while covering a match between Argentina and the Netherlands.
