In celebration of the approaching Christmas and New Year holidays, the city of Homs witnessed the holding of several Christmas events this evening, including a Christmas exhibition and a theatrical show by the Homs Cultural Space Team.

The Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation in the Al-Mahatta neighborhood of Homs witnessed the inauguration of a three-day Christmas exhibition, which included many wooden handicrafts, candles, accessories, and homemade foods such as juices, jams, sweets inspired by Christmas decorations, paintings, and Christmas tree decorations.

The priest of the Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation, Father Stridon Kabbash, stated that celebrating Christmas and New Year is an opportunity for all people from different sects to meet on love, tolerance and peace, especially in light of the difficult living conditions experienced by all Syrians, explaining that all Christmas events aim to sow joy and hope among all people.

A number of attendees expressed their happiness with these Christmas events, as Salwa Doumit pointed out that they reflect the state of joy and optimism in the new year, while Dima Farah indicated that Christmas events are an annual tradition that confirms the meanings of Christmas in spreading love, brotherhood and peace among all Syrians.

As part of the activities of the “Runwa Grass” festival, which is organized by St. George's Church in the Al-Hamidiyah neighborhood of Old Homs, the church hall hosted a theatrical performance by the Homs Cultural Space team.

The show, which was directed by Samer Ibrahim, the head of the Homs Cultural Space Team, lasted about 40 minutes. It touched through 5 acting scenes on the suffering of daily life and the concerns of people in a social comedy template, in which 7 young actors participated.

The official of the festival, Father Silwan Sunaj, stated that the “Runwa Grass” festival began in the Al-Hamidiyah neighborhood in 2015 with the aim of bringing joy to the hearts of the people of the old city after years of suffering, and it has become an annual tradition that brings together people from all neighborhoods, in which teams and events present their best during a month. Birth.

Fadia Youssef expressed her admiration for the band's performance and its ability to translate daily suffering in a purposeful comic style that is far from boredom, while Edward Issa stated that the show was distinguished and enjoyable, like the rest of the Christmas activities that give rise to joy and optimism and reflect the state of peace in the birth of the Messenger of love and peace.
