The legendary Puerto Rican salsa singer Lalo Rodríguez, the voice of hits such as "Come devour me again", was found dead this Tuesday in a building in the municipality of Carolina, in the north of Puerto Rico.
He was 64 years old.
The island's police said that their agents went to a building in the Sabana Abajo residential neighborhood after receiving an emergency call.
There they found the body of the artist, who was identified by a relative.
The body was in the parking lot of the place, according to Telemundo Puerto Rico, which also reported that the musician had been hospitalized in November after being found in a "catatonic state", as described by the doctors at the time.
The authorities have not clarified the causes of death, but indicated that the body had no visible signs of violence and that an autopsy and other tests will be carried out.

Rodríguez lived for more than two decades in Orlando, Florida.
In 1986 he married Wanda Torres, with whom he had four children: Jeramel, José Juan, Linda and Yariel.
Years later he would divorce.
Several scandals marked the artist's career
with episodes that included drug addiction and excessive alcohol consumption.
In 2011 he was arrested in Florida on charges of domestic violence.
At that time he was sentenced to two years probation.
