2022-12-13T11:35:29.307Z

The messenger warned the man who was driving in a life-threatening manner • According to the suspicion, the driver got out of the vehicle with his friend, and they beat the motorcyclist and robbed him of his property • When he called the police - he was beaten again • The arrest of the suspect in the attack, a resident of Bat Yam with a history of violent crimes, was extended by four days

The violence on the roads does not stop: a 38-year-old resident of Bat Yam, known to the police for crimes of violence and extortion by threats, was arrested on suspicion of beating, together with another person, a Walt courier who warned them about the way they were driving.

The two also robbed the courier of property.

Yesterday at night, the suspect drove with his friend (who has not yet been arrested) on the road in a life-threatening manner.

As a result, Walt's messenger on his motorcycle beeped at them.

In response, they got out of the vehicle and attacked him with their fists.

Then, while driving away from the scene, they noticed that the victim was trying to contact the police.

According to the suspicion, the suspect noticed him and once again attacked him together with his friend, when one of them kicked him and the other punched him - and finally also robbed him of property.

A (almost) deadly mission.

A police car that arrived at the scene received the vehicle details of the attackers.

The driver was arrested an hour and a half later, taken to the police station and questioned - but did not cooperate with his investigators.

He claimed to be tired, and fell asleep intermittently during the interrogation.

The suspect was remanded in custody at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, where the police representative said that they were looking for the second suspect in the act.

The suspect's defense attorney asked to release his client, after claiming that since the police did not find the stolen property in his possession - there is no evidentiary basis for reasonable suspicion against him, and he denies the suspicions against him.

The judge ordered the continued arrest of the suspect in the assault.

Justice of the Peace Avital Amsalem did not accept the arguments of the defense attorney, and ordered the suspect's detention to be extended by four days.

Amsalem stated that there is a reasonable suspicion linking the suspect to the commission of the crimes.

According to her, there is a reason for arrest of a dangerous type, and there is also a fear that the suspect will work to disrupt the investigation.
