Two months after the announcement by the Ministry of the Interior of necessary postponements or cancellations of festivals during the 2024 Olympics, things are becoming clearer.

Place Beauvau, it is estimated that an average of 30,000 police and gendarmes will be needed every day to ensure the security of the sports competition and its 13 million expected spectators.

Devices which are hardly compatible, it is explained, with the simultaneous organization of major popular events such as Avignon or music festivals such as the Francofolies de La Rochelle.
