The General Union of Peasants affirmed that the productive and generous farmer is working to advance agriculture in Syria, to restore its food security by relying on self-reliance in securing production requirements.
The union said in a statement on the occasion of the fifty-eighth anniversary of the Peasants' Day, a copy of which SANA received a copy of: “The conspiracy forces, while targeting our beloved homeland, worked to destroy the Syrian agriculture. With his awareness of the truth of the conspiracy and his belief in his president, his party, and his peasant organization, the producer and donor remained victorious over circumstances and worked for the sake of his people and his country.
The union made it clear that it would remain a peasant organization leading the farmers' struggle, expressing their aspirations and prospects for their future, and defending their interests.
The federation indicated that the steadfastness of the farmers and their unlimited giving, especially in light of the difficult circumstances passing through Syria, and despite all that they have been subjected to, express their confidence in their peasant organization and their absolute belief in the march of steadfastness and victory.
The statement pointed out that the peasants are facing a great challenge and huge tasks and responsibilities, which is the task of advancing agriculture so that Syria can return its food security and support its national economy and drop the tails of the conspiracy, stressing the need to work, increase production, reduce waste and self-reliance in securing production requirements, and consider all of this as a title of belonging to the homeland and belief in it.
