Puchheim – The Puchheim-Bahnhof volunteer fire brigade was on duty for more than six hours on Sunday, December 11th, when a garden shed on Gröbenbachweg caught fire.
When the first fire brigade vehicles that were alerted at 6:49 p.m. were on the move and on their way to the scene, the integrated control center in Fürstenfeldbruck increased the alarm keyword because several callers reported the fire and its spread to the roof.
As soon as the command vehicle turned into Anzengruberstraße, the commander could see heavy smoke and the glow of fire.
After arriving at the scene, the operations manager began reconnaissance so that the following forces could be used in a targeted manner.
A garden shed was on fire at the scene.
Due to the massive fire spread upwards, the fire quickly spread to the roof structure of the residential building.
Several attempts by residents to fight the fire in the garden shed with fire extinguishers before the fire brigade arrived failed.
Three people contracted smoke inhalation trying to put out the fire.
Another person suffered minor burns.
All were taken to nearby hospitals.

An external attack with two squads wearing heavy respiratory protection and two C-tubes was launched from the front of the building.
At the same time, another squad was sent into the house to check for a possible burn-through.
Due to the course of the fire, the Gröbenzell volunteer fire brigade was requested by the operations management to initiate firefighting on the back of the building with a C-pipe via the scaling ladder.
To fight the fire, the roof skin had to be opened completely on both sides of the building.
The burning fiber composite insulation was then completely removed and extinguished.
More breathing apparatus wearers were needed again for the post-extinguishing work.
In addition to the volunteer fire brigades Puchheim-Bahnhof and Gröbenzell, the Fürstenfeldbruck control center also alerted the volunteer fire brigades from Puchheim-Ort and Olching.
The fire was successfully fought with 15 teams wearing heavy respiratory protection, so that at 11.30 p.m. the large contingent of fire brigades were finally able to report "fire out".
According to initial estimates, the property damage incurred is in the low six-digit range.
criminal police determined
