Last week there was one of the largest police actions in the history of the Federal Republic.

Legal measures have already been taken against an officer from the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office.

After the raid on the "Reichsbürger" scene, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against an officer from the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) in Lower Saxony.

This step was taken by the LKA as the responsible disciplinary authority, as the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior in Hanover announced on Tuesday evening on request.

In addition, the already pronounced ban on conducting official business was converted into a provisional suspension.

According to the information, the officer was last employed in the state security department of the LKA - but only there for a few weeks as part of a reintegration and still in training before he was no longer on duty since autumn last year.

According to the ministry, the man had neither in-depth insights into state security processes nor was he specially trained for this.

The work of the official will therefore continue to be clarified.

A few days ago, official measures were taken against the officials of the State Criminal Police Office.

According to the ministry, this includes an immediate ban on conducting official business.

Such a measure includes, for example, the ban on carrying the service weapon, wearing service clothes and entering the office.

Lower Saxony's Interior Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) said on Thursday last week that the person concerned was known.

However, it remains to be seen what the federal prosecutor's office will find out in their investigations into the major proceedings involving 25 people arrested.

In Lower Saxony there are about 900 so-called Reich citizens.

About 50 of them can be described as right-wing extremists.

Last week, the federal prosecutor had 25 people arrested in one of the largest police actions in the history of the Federal Republic.

She accuses 22 of them of being a member of a terrorist organization that wanted to overthrow the political system in Germany.

"Reich citizens" are people who do not recognize the Federal Republic and its democratic structures.
