“We would like to expand the existing day-care center of the State Opera.

The premises would be ideal for this," said spokeswoman Annette Baumann.

This solution would make sense for the Staatsoper above all because the employees would then have short distances.

Twelve children are currently being cared for at the Platzl.

An expansion would possibly also entail conversion measures - this variant is still being examined.

The State Opera also applied to succeed Schuhbeck against the background of the lack of space in the National Theater, in the rehearsal building on Marstallplatz, in the ballet building on Platzl and also in the Bavarian State Theater - as a precaution, personal requirements were therefore registered in order to be able to use them later in the form of offices or rehearsal rooms to enable the state theaters.

The day-care center extension is now also conceivable.

The second applicant is the Hofbräuhaus

The second applicant is the Hofbräuhaus, which has its headquarters next door and wants to use the 1A location to expand its business.

As state institutions, both have already registered their own use of the premises, which also belong to the Free State.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Construction confirms that there are currently two inquiries for the subsequent use of the Südtiroler Stuben on the square.

"Both possible uses are now being specified by the applicants and then checked by Immobilien Freistaat Bayern."

Questions of content and construction had to be clarified.

Only then can a decision be made on subsequent use, which is now to be clarified.

Meanwhile, Alfons Schuhbeck is waiting for the district court to deliver his judgment – ​​the official deadline is tomorrow.
