A mother attacked a school principal in Tiberias, a father attacked a kindergarten teacher - and a boy was stabbed during a school day at a high school in Rehovot.

The violence in the education system is overflowing, and under the guidance of the Minister of Education, classes will begin tomorrow at a time that will be dedicated to an educational discourse for its prevention.

The mother of a student attacked the principal of the "Nuprim" school in Tiberias this morning (Monday).

According to the suspicion, the mother broke into her office together with another pair of parents.

So, she started yelling at her continuously - until the school security guard was called to the scene, who took the three out of the office.

However, a short time later the suspect's mother returned to the principal's office, threatened her and threw office equipment on the floor.

A police car was called to the scene and a complaint was filed against the mother, along with a removal order from the principal and the school.



Following the incident, the municipal parents' committee issued a statement of condemnation in which it expressed support for the principal and announced that school studies will begin tomorrow at 09:00 - a time that will be dedicated to information in the classrooms.

At 08:00, when school studies will be suspended - a protest meeting will be held following the event.

"The violent atmosphere towards the teaching staff has become intolerable," Michael Pinto, deputy secretary general of the school, commented on the incident. "A lot of red lines were crossed this time.

Another case of violence against teaching staff occurred yesterday in Rehovot, after a father in the "Hades" kindergarten verbally attacked the kindergarten teacher.

According to the suspicion, the father attacked the kindergarten teacher in front of the children and the rest of the teaching staff, on the grounds of the kindergarten and when he came to pick up his daughter.



Following the incident, in this case too, it was decided to shut down the activities in the kindergarten tomorrow until 10 am.

"It is not possible that these waves of violence will continue to hit our kindergartens," commented Anat Dadon, the chairperson of the kindergarten department in the Teachers' Union. "Unfortunately, the phenomenon of violence in society has long since reached kindergartens.

We will not absorb or contain any kind of it."

This morning, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed during a fight at a school in Rehovot. The MDA team that arrived on the scene evacuated him for further medical treatment at Kaplan Hospital in the city.

Police said several suspects were arrested after fleeing the scene.

The boy was operated on and transferred to the intensive care unit at the Schneider Center.

He is ventilated and sedated and his condition is defined as serious but stable.
