"Fanta Korn to warm up": alcohol confession shocks "First Dates" star Roland Trettl

However, participant Chiara surprises with an unusual order.
Istria – The concept of "First Dates" clearly stands out from other dating formats that exist like sand by the sea in the German television landscape.
Instead of a lot of drama and being accompanied by camera crews for weeks, the love-seeking singles get to know each other in a cute boutique hotel near the Croatian Adriatic Sea.
During a joint culinary delight conjured up by star chef Roland Trettl (51), the candidates carefully approach each other and – if the chemistry is right – can spend a short holiday in the sunny complex after dinner.

Since love goes through the stomach, as is well known, the lovers-to-be will be spoiled with culinary delights throughout the evening by Roland Trettl and his eager kitchen team.
The sight of the packed plates is sure to make many a spectator's mouth water.
Meanwhile, bartender Nic Shanker (40), who mixes special cocktails for his guests professionally and with great sensitivity, ensures that the drinks are good – after all, it is important to start the exciting evening with a top-class drink.

Although the guests' drink requests are as colorful and different as they are, one candidate really upsets Roland and Nic.
Because when the likeable saleswoman Chiara (27), who has a date with the Bavarian Sebastian in the noble establishment, sits down on the bar stool and places her order, they can hardly believe their ears.
"Well, in our village, we always drink Fanta Korn to warm ourselves up," she announces proudly, causing gaping mouths and rigid shock - the two gourmets certainly didn't expect that.
International Cocktail Day
It's hard to believe, but alcoholic mixed drinks also have their own day in their honour.
Cocktail Day is celebrated around the world on May 13th, commemorating the birth of one of the most ingenious culinary ideas of all time.
Cocktails were first mentioned

"A stimulating liqueur made up of all kinds of spirits, sugar, water and bitters" was how the newspaper described the ideal recipe for such a drink at the time.
Today's drink menus in restaurants and bars are packed with all-time favorites like Aperol Spritz, Gin & Tonic and Mai Tai - and for most bartenders, the more experimental the better.

"Are you still drinking that?": "First Dates" participant Chiara shocked with Fanta Korn order
The astonishment is great, but Roland Trettl and Nic Shanker have by no means misheard. “Which village are you from?” asks the cocktail expert in horror, “Are you still drinking that now, in 2020?” Roland also expresses his disbelief.
Chiara is not so easily dissuaded from her wish: "My friends and I always start the evening with the drink and that's why I thought it would be just the right thing for today." Finally, drink magician Nic mixes his own version of Fanta Korn – Chiara's conclusion?
"It's not quite Fanta and not quite Korn now," she says with a grin.
"You can do that."

When her date Sebastian finally arrives and Chiara happily presents him with the yellow mixed drink, he is amazed – and seems quite impressed.
As the saying goes: Show me what you're drinking and I'll tell you who you are.
Another TV format recently caused astonishment, because Sat.1 viewers are stunned by a Botox show on “Britt – Der Talk”.
