The day before yesterday (12th) in Yau Ma Tei, a kidnapper armed with a "gun" illegally imprisoned a debtor. A 52-year-old Nepalese man was abducted and imprisoned in a hotel on Wusong Street by a 42-year-old fellow villager and his two accomplices because he owed 300,000 yuan in debt.
The police wired a report to investigate, successfully rescued the victim, and arrested 3 people involved in the case.
Among them, the 42-year-old mastermind was charged with one count of "unlawful imprisonment", one count of "trafficking in a dangerous drug" and one count of "assault occasioning bodily harm".
